This is because quality is subjective.

Your decision will eventually be based on your marketing/content creation goal. My job is to make you see what each one of them can or cannot do. From there, the choice is yours.

What is Copy AI?

Copy AI is a copywriting tool powered by artificial intelligence. It’s one of the most popular web content creation tools and has its main target users.

Based on my experience testing Copy AI, it’s best for you if you are a solo freelance writer, a social media manager, or a startup founder.

This doesn’t mean it doesn’t serve others, but those are its target market.

What is Jasper?

Jasper is an AI copywriting tool that’s popular for creating long-form content. Although it has about 50 templates, most people subscribe to Jasper because it’s one of the earliest copywriting tools to support blog post creation.

Jasper is for you if you are a blogger, an eCommerce store owner, or a freelance writer.

Copy.AI vs. Jasper: Features and benefits

Selecting a writing assistant isn’t very hard, provided you know what you want to achieve and come across an objective review like this one.

For example, if you are looking for a tool to help you create content for your blog, what you need to do is to find a tool that’s strong in that aspect. If it also has subsistence features like integration with WordPress, then that’s much better.

What I’m about to do in this section is to review the prominent features of each software, not leaving out anything you ought to know and giving you the chance to make your choice.

So, we’ll begin with Jasper.

Copy.AI vs. Jasper: Jasper Review

These are the prominent features of Jasper.

Boss Mode

Jasper’s most popular feature is Boss Mode. It is for creating blog posts, and it’s designed in such a way that you can instruct Jasper to write something for you by simply typing in your order.

This makes content creation easier and fosters collaboration between you and the AI.

As Jasper Boss Mode doesn’t write a full blog post with one click, this also enables you to course-correct before the content is finished.

Here are a few lines from a blog post I wrote using Boss Mode.

Jasper blog post content

You may have noticed some errors in this content. This is because the copywriting tools are not always 100% accurate. So, always double-check the information they give so that you don’t mislead your audience.

AI copywriting templates

AI copywriting templates are the types of content any given AI copywriting tool can generate. For example, if an AI copywriting tool has landing page templates, Google ad templates, and tweet templates, those are the types of content it can create.

While it’s good for an AI writing tool to have enough templates, it’s not always what matters. What matters is whether a tool has the template you need and the quality of content it creates.

Japer, therefore, has:

  • Paragraph Generator
  • Text summarizer
  • Product Description
  • Creative story
  • Facebook ad headline
  • Google ads headline
  • Amazon product description
  • Quora answers
  • Review responder
  • Meta description, and more.

Content improver

Aside from creating content from scratch, Jasper can also be used as a content improver to polish up your written content.

Some of its templates are specifically designed for this. They are:

  • Sentence expander
  • Content improver
  • Text summarizer

Copywriting frameworks

Copywriting frameworks are the frameworks after which a piece of copy can be modeled. The idea is to take the reader from one emotion to another.

Let’s take AIDA, for example. It stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action. Attention is the first stage, and so your content must be designed in such a way that it gets the attention of the reader from the beginning if you are following the AIDA framework.

Then it takes them to the next stage, Interest, and on to the next, Desire, and onto the last stage, Action.

And there are several others like that. On Jasper, you’ll find the following:

  • AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action)
  • PAS (Problem-Agitate, Solution)
  • Feature to benefit

Integration with Surfer

Jasper AI integrates with Surfer SEO, which makes it a good tool for those who want to rank their content on Google.

You insert your primary keyword into Jasper when developing your content, and Surfer will suggest secondary keywords you can use in your content to get improved search rankings.

Here is what that looks like:

Plagiarism checker

One of the major concerns of people who want to use AI copywriting tool is whether their content is plagiarism free.

In my experience, cases of plagiarism are rare, and I’ve personally never had this problem. However, some users have said they experienced this. And so it makes sense if a tool has it.

Jasper does integrate with Copyscape, and this enables you to run your content for plagiarism check as soon as you are done creating it.

However, there are AI writing assistants that come with built-in plagiarism checkers: Copysmith and Rytr.

Jasper recipes

Jasper recipe refers to some pre-built workflow that lets you create repeatable processes. You can also create your own recipes, but the summary of it is that this lets you give Jasper a command and get it to execute it.

Languages

Jasper supports over 25 languages. This includes French, Spanish, English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and so on.

Another tool that supports multiple languages is Anyword, and I’ve written a comprehensive review of Anyword vs. Jasper AI.

Jasper Pricing

Jasper AI pricing

Jasper’s entry price is $49 per month. This gives you 30,000 words and access to all the templates. But it strictly limits you to short-form content like headlines and tweets.

The second plan costs $99 per month. This lets you create up to 100,000 words. They also recently introduced an Enterprise plan in case you’d like to customize your account further.

Pros of Jasper

Jasper has many advantages. Let’s sum them up like this:

  • Diverse templates
  • A popular community
  • A popular platform
  • Good customer support
  • Getting improved from time to time

Cons of Jasper

The disadvantages of using Jasper go as follows:

  • Might be too expensive for newbies
  • The free trial requires you to insert your card info
  • Requires some getting used to

Copy.AI vs. Jasper: Copy AI Review

Copy AI is one of the most popular content generation tools out there. It’s popular thanks to its simplistic design, easy access, and a really good user interface.

Copy AI creates different types of content. This includes email, social media content, product descriptions, and more.

In this section, I’ll cover the most standout features of Copy. AI.

First draft wizard

The first draft wizard is the Copy AI’s feature for writing blog posts. This template takes your idea and turns it into a complete first draft.

From there, all you have to do is refine it to the best of your interest.

Here is a blog post Copy AI created for me:

I generated this in under five minutes. Copysmith has a similar feature, known as Blog Kickstarter. I discussed how the two of them compare in an article about Copy AI vs Copysmith.

Social media content creation

Social media content creation is another main area of focus for Copy AI. In fact, it has more templates for this than I’ve seen with many AI writing tools.

Here are some of the social media templates it offers:

  • Facebook posts
  • TikTok scripts
  • Instagram captions
  • Pinterest descriptions
  • LinkedIn posts
  • Engaging social posts
  • Hashtag generator, and more.

Copy AI’s first plan is free forever. The Pro plan costs $49 per month, and this lets you generate unlimited words and use all the available templates.

Pros of Copy AI

Let’s assess some pros of Copy AI:

  • Very easy to use
  • Easy pricing
  • Has a free plan
  • Can be tested for free for a while
  • Very diverse

Cons of Copy AI

  • Doesn’t integrate with any third-party tool
  • Doesn’t come with a plagiarism checker

However, if you are looking for something similar to Copy AI with a plagiarism checker, then Rytr is a good alternative to Copy AI in that aspect.

Which one is better: Jasper Copy AI?

In summary, Jasper focuses more on long-form content while Copy AI is better for social media content, email marketing content, and digital ad copy. Copy AI is also more diverse in terms of templates, but doesn’t have SEO and plagiarism-checking features like Jasper AI.

As such, none of them is actually better than the other. It just depends on your content goal.

Think about this when making your decision. You can also check out my comparison of Copy AI vs Writesonic.

What are the things an AI copywriting tool should have?

If you are looking for an AI copywriting software but aren’t sure where to start, consider the following things:

Content quality

In my experience, none of the AI writing tools I’ve tried produce low-quality content. But as you are well aware, quality is subjective.

But before finally settling down for a tool, it’s nice if you can try its free trial and see if you are fine with the content quality.

AI copywriting templates

You should also try to see if they have the copywriting templates you need. For example, Rytr AI doesn’t have a template for creating a blog post. So if you are trying to create blog posts, it would be a poor decision to settle for that.

Scalability

If your content needs increase, can the tool you want to settle for handle it?

On the surface, this looks like a simple question. But in reality, it’s hard to answer. When your content needs increase, part of what you’ll be needing is being able to work with your team members and create content in bulk.

Not all tools can handle this. In my experience, Copysmith does this well. See my Copysmith review for further information.

Integrations

A tool that integrates with other tools makes your life easier. This could help you automate related tasks like publishing, content distribution, live content updating, and so on.

The only tool I’ve seen with a sufficient number of integrations is Copysmith.
