If you go by the popularity of Jasper AI, you might think there is no better AI writing tool out there. But those who have tried Jasper AI know better, and they are often trying to find out which one is the best: Copysmith vs. Jasper.
This is because testing out a tool will eliminate your bias and bring you face-to-face- with reality. It’s also dangerous to subscribe to either of them without research when you consider that Jasper AI doesn’t really offer a free trial.
In any case, I’m going to clarify the myths surrounding these two AI copywriting tools in this article. I will discuss each software, whom they were built for, and share their features as well as the screenshots of how they work.
If that’s what you are looking for, read on.
What is Copysmith?
Copysmith is an automated copywriting software for creating original, plagiarism-free, auto-generated content.
Although it is more focused on eCommerce organizations and marketing agencies, it has other writing templates and all the content is of top quality.
Anyone can use Copysmith, but if you work in a large team, you stand to benefit the most from it.
What is Jasper AI?
Jasper is an AI writing software for creating marketing, editorial, and other types of content. In terms of writing templates, it’s one of the most diverse tools out there.
You are going to enjoy Jasper if you are a solo freelance writer, a startup founder, or an affiliate blogger.
Most people adopt Jasper because of its long-form content writing template, Boss Mode, but I have reservations about this, as I will show you in the features section.
Jasper vs. Copysmith: Feature and Benefits Comparison
In this section, we’ll analyze and test out the features and benefits of Copysmith and Jasper. Let’s start with Copysmith.
Features and benefits of Copysmith
Here are the top features of Copysmith.
Content ideation
Since this is the foundation of good writing, I thought I might start with it.
Copysmith can be a good partner in your brainstorming session if you are suffering from writer’s block.
It has features that are solely for generating content ideas, and when I tested it, I found it reliable.
Here is an example of Copysmith giving me an idea on what to write about eCommerce websites:
Not just that. It suggested about 10 ideas. Here is more:
Blog post creation
Copysmith also supports blog post creation that can be used as your first draft. Once your blog post title, it will suggest a number of ideas for you, like this:
It made suggestions as a result of the blog title I entered, which was “how to write a blog post.”
And when I selected the idea I liked, it allowed showed me some outlines to choose from:
It also allowed me to tweak this outline further:
Once we were done with this stage, my first draft was up in less than two minutes. This is an extract from the piece:
I wouldn’t say that was a bad post. All you have to do from here is cross-check the facts, edit for grammar and spelling, and make any additions or removals you want.
By using Copysmith, you’ll get your blog post up in under five minutes.
Product Description
One of the areas where Copysmith trumps other AI copywriting tools is its product description templates. Remember, this is a software program built primarily to serve eCommerce store owners.
And as such, they seem to be more innovative in this area than any of their competitors. Their product description writing toolset includes:
- Flipkart product description
- Amazon product description
- eBay product description
- Instagram product launch.
- Etsy product description
- Product Description
If you’d like to see the quality of their content, check out the screenshot below. It’s an Amazon product description I wrote with Copysmith.
Social media content
Furthermore, Copysmith is also one of the best social media content generators. I’m not sure if other software can create better social media content, but the Facebook social media ad it generated for me is one of the best I’ve ever seen with any AI writing tool.
What I did in the screenshot above is simple: I used Copysmith to write an ad for Copysmith.
Plagiarism checker
Copysmith comes with a built-in plagiarism checker, thereby saving you from plagiarism or paying for other tools, like Copyscape, separately.
Want to see it at work? This is what the plagiarism icon looks like in the app:
If any part of your content is plagiarised, it will tell you and also show you the source, like it did for me in the screenshot below:
By the way, I was the one that copied text somewhere from the web and posted it in Copysmith to test the plagiarism checker. This means, its content is original and is never plagiarised.
Throughout my using the platform, I did not suffer any plagiarism.
Integrations and SEO
Copysmith integrates with a number of apps and tools. This is to ensure you can get your tools together in the same place and don’t have to go looking for tools to carry out your marketing objectives.
For example, its integration with Hootsuite means you can now auto-distribute your content or schedule them ahead.
Other integrations are:
- Zapier
- Shopify
- Microsoft Word
- Google Doc
- Google Ad
- Frase
Its integration with Frase allows you to optimize your content for better search ranking on Google. This is what it looks like:
What you are looking at in this screenshot is a suggestion of secondary keywords that Frase made when I typed in my seed keyword.
By using those secondary keywords in your content, you’ll be able to rank higher and faster on Google.
Team collaboration
If you are in a large team, Copysmith is the best tool for you. And this is owing to the opportunity to bring your team members into the software to work together.
All it takes to bring them in is to invite them via their email:
This will enable you to monitor their progress in the app:
With this feature, you can bypass some management tools like Asana and still be able to manage your workflow properly.
Copy AI Pricing
Copysmith’s entry price is $19. This will let you generate 33,000 words, use all the integrations, and conduct plagiarism checks 20 times each month.
The growth plan lets you create 260,000 words, use the plagiarism checker 100 times each month, and access all the integrations.
The good aspect is that both of these are available for a 7-day free trial so that you can determine if the software is worth paying for. Sign up here for a 7-day free trial. This doesn’t require you to insert your credit card info.
Pros of Copysmith
- Easy to use
- One of the cheapest
- Integrates with many apps you love
- Offers plagiarism check
- Offers free trial
- Good customer support
- In-app customer support
Cons of Copysmith
- It’s not for everybody
My verdict on Copysmith
Copysmith is a great tool with many subsistence features, and it will be a perfect tool for you if you are into ad creation, eCommerce content, and blog post. It’s also the overall best tool if you work in a large team.

Features and benefits of Jasper
Here, we will also discuss the features and benefits of Jasper. Let’s dive in.
Blog post creation
Jasper is one of the most popular AI writing software out there today, and this is largely due to its ability to create long-form content.
Long before any of its competitors, including Copysmith, nailed long-form content creation, Jasper AI was already doing this and making lots of its users happy.
However, my experience using Jasper AI for a blog post wasn’t a pleasant one, for two reasons:
- It’s not easy to use.
- The output was bad.
To be fair, I’d ask you not to worry about the second reason because, having seen how happy most of its users are with the blog posts it creates for them, I concluded that it’s not just very good in some industries, but it’s great in some.
All those people couldn’t have gotten it wrong. But below is an extract from the article I wrote with it:
Jasper Arts
Recently, Jasper launched Jasper Art, and a lot of users have been buying into it. I’ve not renewed my subscription to Jasper ever since they made this update.
But from what I can see on social media, the feature is kickass.
Let me show you an example:
This means Jasper can now save you from having to use stock photos for your marketing content.
Diverse templates
Jasper has over 50 templates. This makes it one of the most versatile AI copywriting software out there.
Here is a list of some of Jasper’s templates:
- Product Description
- Blog post product ideas
- Blog post outline
- Long-form writing assistant
- Boss Mode
- Google Ad
- Facebook Ad
- Quora answers
- Photo post captions
- Persuasive bullet points
And more.
Plagiarism checker
Jasper also integrates with a plagiarism checker. This makes it one of the tools that can save you from finding plagiarism checkers on your own after you’ve created your content.
You can access it in their tool. However, there is a catch to using it. This plagiarism checker comes with an additional cost that isn’t specified on their pricing page.
I was shocked to find this out after I subscribed to their platform. I wanted to use the plagiarism checker but was blocked and told to add additional funds. Here is the screenshot of that:
It was quite a disappointment that day, to say the least. However, Rytr comes with a built-in plagiarism checker, and I discuss that in this comparison of Rytr vs Jasper.
SEO feature
If you are writing SEO-driven content, Jasper can also be of help. It integrates with Surfer SEO so that you can optimize your content in-app just like Copysmith with Frase.
This is what it looks like in the app:
Jasper Pricing
Jasper has two pricing plans:
Pro plan: this costs $49/month and lets you generate 30,000 words. It’s strictly for creating short-form content such as headlines, tweets, and ads.
Boss Mode: the Boss mode plan is where you’ll get access to long-form content features like blog posts, email, and novel writing. This allows up to 100,000 words and costs $99 per month.
Pros of Jasper
- It has diverse templates and use cases
- It’s popular
- It has a thriving community.
Cons of Jasper
- Jasper is expensive.
- Not easy to use
- Free trial isn’t completely free.
- Has a steep learning curve.
- Could have hidden charges.
- Doesn’t have many integrations.

Jasper vs. Copysmith: Which one of them is best for you?
Jasper is good for you if you are not too industry-specific while Copysmith is good for you if you are specifically in industries like eCommerce, marketing, ads, and so on.
In terms of quality, they are both good, and they both generate long-form content. However, if you are looking to generate content that is unrelated to marketing, such as editorials, novels, and so on, you can choose Jasper.
If you are all about marketing, Copysmith gives you everything that you want, including its integrations with other software you might need.
